The Doors Open Days are coming up again on 22th-23th September. The European Heritage Days come to Scotland in September every year. For 21 years a celebration of architecture, culture and history has been held in Scotland – first in Glasgow and Ayr and now all over the country.
And there is a lot to see here in Edinburgh! Here’s how it works: Places of interest like Edinburgh Castle, the Old Calton Burial Ground, and even the football grounds of one of the local football clubs (Heart of Midlothian FC) open their doors to visitors free of charge for one weekend. On 22nd and 23rd of this month these popular attractions – and many others in this beautiful city – offer free entry, special programmes, activities for all the family, or guided tours to those interested in exploring Edinburgh’s cultural highlights. Here is a full list of participants taking part this year.
Maybe you find yourself inspired to organise a break in Edinburgh for the last weekend in September now? Accommodation for these days is most sought after – however we still have a couple of rooms, as well as our self-catering Bellevue Apartment, available for the days in questions.
