February is upon us, with its dark days and cold temperatures. A few days ago, some parts of the country experienced snow and icy conditions.
Summer may feel a world away at this time of the year, but staff at our reservations office has noticed that many of you are already thinking ahead – and have started planning their summer holidays. We have recently had quite a few enquiries regarding availability and rates for June, July and August, and we are already taking bookings for bed & breakfast accommodation for the summer…. a couple of those come through nearly every day now!
August is always an exciting month in Edinburgh: Different festivals attract visitors from all over the world and the city is buzzing with cultural highlights and entertainment.
June and July are definitely well worth a visit too! The Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival from 20-29 June and Madonna at Murrayfield on 21st July are two events bound to attract loads of music lovers to the Scottish capital.
Due to its location, Edinburgh is not only a favourite with visitors looking solely for a city break. A lot of people stay over for a night or two before heading up further north to the Highlands of Scotland – this way, they form a well-rounded impression of the diversity of life and culture so characteristic for Scotland.
